Andrew Prag, World Energy Outlook, France
Andrew Prag is a senior analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, with a focus on the World Energy Outlook, IEA’s flagship publication.
Andrew has 15 years of experience in a variety of energy and environment roles. Before joining the IEA, he spent 7 years at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) where he led research projects related to energy, climate change, trade and environment policy, including extensive work on carbon pricing. During this time he was closely involved with the UN climate change negotiations (UNFCCC) and the G20 process. Prior to the OECD, Andrew spent 4 years working in carbon markets with Camco Clean Energy where he led consulting projects on emissions trading and managed Clean Development Mechanism carbon credit projects in China and other countries. He was a cofounder and director of the Project Developer Forum, a trade association focusing on carbon credit projects, and chaired policy working groups with other carbon market trade associations.
Earlier in his career he held a variety of roles in the energy sector, including downstream production management with Royal Dutch Shell. He holds an MSc in environmental technology from Imperial College, London, and an MA in natural sciences from Cambridge University, UK.
